Saratoga Springs Battlefield was the site of one of the fifteen most decisive battles in world history. In 1777, American forces defeated a major British army, resulting in a much-needed alliance between France and America. The park now comprises three separate units: The four-square-mile battlefield, the General Philip Schuyler House, and the Saratoga Monument.
