Glenn Highway
Eureka Summit and Lodge, AK

With a view of Gunsight Mountain, Eureka Summit climbs to over 3000 feet and is the highest point along the Glenn Highway. Here the driver is in the midst of the Alaskan Interior.

Eureka Lodge existed before the Glenn Highway was constructed. It and many other lodges in the area provide a starting point for miles of summer and winter off-road adventures. Between Eureka Lodge at Mile 128 and the end of the Byway at Mile 135 visitors can see the Chugach Mountains to the south, the Talkeetna's to the west, the Alaska Range to the north, and the Wrangell-St. Elias Mountains to the east.
