Dead Horse Mesa Scenic Byway
Visitor Services
The Island In The Sky District Visitor Center is alongside the Byway in Canyonlands National Park and has interpretive materials and traveler facilities, including gallon jugs of water for sale in the hot seasons. It is open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm daily and closed Christmas Day.

Information At the junction of U-191 and the Byway is a kiosk explaining the recreation rules and regulations for this area. There is also a fully staffed visitor center in Dead Horse State Park. |

Lodging There is no lodging in Dead Horse Point State Park nor Canyonlands National Park. Overnight accommodations are available in the nearby towns of Hanksville, Green River, Moab, and Monticello. |
