Schweitzer Mountain Ski and Summer Resort, ID
Schweitzer Mountain has year-round recreation with its massive snow-filled bowls and breathtaking views into three states and Canada. In summer, scenic chairlift rides, hiking, and mountain-biking trails provide a panorama of the Selkirk Mountains and Lake Pend Oreille. Events include an outdoor music festival and national mountain-biking competitions. In winter, skiers enjoy 2,500 acres of terrain served by high-speed lifts, and 25 kilometers of groomed cross-country trails.
