Bluewater Lake State Park, NM

Bluewater Lake is a large, open lake set among low hills covered with pinon and juniper trees. Bluewater Lake's main claim to fame is fishing, but the state park is also popular with boaters and campers and offers a bit of hiking. Situated in the Zuni Mountains just east of the Continental Divide, this high-elevation park has good ice fishing and also attracts occasional ice skaters in winter.
