Historic Route 66
Santa Fe (NM)
Even though Santa Fe is the capital of New Mexico, it is only the third-largest city in the state, with a population of 60,000. It is the second-oldest city in the US, but still relatively unknown to many US travelers. The city's history spans almost 400 years and is a refreshing surprise with its Rocky Mountain climate and cultural diversity created by Native American, Hispanic, and European traditions.
Surrounded by literally millions of acres of National Forest and public land, Santa Fe is a jumping-off point for a number of different outdoor recreational activities. For the sight-seer, the beauty of the surrounding area offers an amazing diversity of scenery and places to discover.
With world-class shopping and rich southwestern history on every corner, visitors to Santa Fe never have a dull moment. Santa Fe also offers a variety of meeting and conference facilities with services for those wanting to mix business with pleasure.
Be sure to sample the wide variety of southwestern cooking!
