Fort Sumner State Monument, NM

The Fort Sumner State Monument, located near the Old Fort Sumner Museum, has many historical exhibits. Many of the exhibits are dedicated to the struggle of the Navajo and Apache people as they kept to keep their traditions and cultures in the wake of westward expansion.

Guided tours are offered to visitors every weekend throughout the summer.
