Roadside attractions are icons of the road trips of the past, and the Jackrabbit Trading Post, with the giant jackrabbit sitting out front, was so popular that roadside signs with a black silhouette of a rabbit simply said, “Here it is,” and as years past the wording was even eliminated. Several of these signs still dot Rt 66 leading to the same well-worn Jackrabbit that appears in generations of photo albums all over the world. These signs also appear in the movie, “Cars.”
