At Anne’s Beach, stretch out on the sand and slip your toes into the turquoise blue-green water to enjoy a swim in the calm, clear Atlantic Ocean while kiteboarders take advantage of the tropical sea breeze. See fishermen, stone crabbers, and lobster farmers capture their bounties. Linger along a secluded boardwalk and picnic at shaded tables among the native mangroves. Open Daily, Sunrise to Sunset.

Bahia Honda State Park is home to one of the “Top Ten Beaches in the United States” and offers camping, fishing, diving, snorkeling, hiking and kayaking, as well. Walk onto Flagler’s Historic Railroad trestle and enjoy the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico views. Relax on the beach, take a swim in the calm, clear water, explore the nature trail, or picnic in one of the pavilions. For a few hours or a few days, the park has year around appeal. Daily, 8:00 am – Sundown.

At Crane Point Museum, Nature Center and Historic Site, wind through the hardwood hammock on a 1.5 mile trail and find a stunning view of Florida Bay and the 1950s Crane House. The museum is part of the Smithsonian Traveling Exhibit with depictions of Keys heritage and landscapes. Outside the museum are two saltwater lagoons and many marine touch tanks containing native Keys invertebrates and fish, including a nurse shark.

Crocodile Lake National Wildlife Refuge (FL)
The Crocodile Lake National Wildlife Refuge, established in 1980, was created to protect breeding and nesting for the endangered American crocodile and other wildlife. It is comprised of 6,700 acres.

Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum (FL)
Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum is where one of America’s most honored authors called home for more than 10 years and visited frequently in his later life. He found solace and great physical challenges fishing the turquoise waters surrounding Key West. Tour the rooms and gardens that inspired the most prolific period of the Nobel Prize winner’s career, and meet the living descendants of his legendary six-toed cats. Open Daily, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center (FL)
The Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center showcases the underwater and upland habitats that characterize the Keys with an emphasis on the unique living coral reef. Come explore the 2,400-gallon reef tank housing living corals and tropical fish indigenous to the Keys, a simulation of the Aquarius underwater research habitat, and interactive exhibits about the vibrant Keys ecosystem and reef.

Florida Keys Overseas Heritage Trail (FL)
The Florida Keys Overseas Heritage Trail is a multi-use bicycle and pedestrian facility. Go hiking, running, bicycling, fishing and kayaking on this trail that runs parallel to the Florida Keys Scenic Highway.
