Wilderness Road Heritage Highway

Middlesboro is located at an important junction of the Cumberland Gap. This important road brought many settlers into Kentucky, and now visitors beginning on the Wilderness Road Heritage Highway have a variety of attractions to visit. The Cumberland Gap National Historic Park offers recreational opportunities, as well as scenery of beautiful Kentucky. The Lost Squadron Museum is not far away and houses the P38 "Glacier Girl" which was recovered from ice in Greenland.
