Butcher Hollow, Van Lear (KY)

The cabin located at Butcher Hollow in Van Lear is the home of Loretta Lynn, and it is also the cabin where Crystal Gayle's family resided. Loretta's brother gives guided tours of the cabin which is open to the public. Butcher Hollow is the site for Loretta Lynn's autobiography and song "Coal Miner's Daughter," which later became the basis for a movie.
