Crowley's Ridge Parkway
Village Creek State Park, AR
Pioneers settled into the Village Creek area in the early 1800’s. Soon after in 1821 the Old Military Road was constructed giving the pioneers full access to the area. Many trees that grow here such as beech, sugar maple, butternut, cucumber trees, and tulip trees do not grow anywhere else in the state.
You can choose to spend the night at the fully equipped campsites located around Lake Dunn, or you can stay in a cabin. Stop at the visitor’s center whenever you like, or, depending on the time of year, enjoy a leisure ride on a pedal boat, go fishing, take in the view, or venture on one of the many hiking trails.
