Crowley's Ridge Parkway
Beachwell Gullies, MO
The Beachwell Gullies are traces of erosional forces over time. Ocean sand and salt-water shells found in this area is evidence that this inland region was once part of a vast ocean. The sand dunes here were formed from an earthquake. Many trees and plants grow here that don’t grow in any areas nearby. Many beautiful wildflowers and cacti are also native to the area. The beachwell gullies provide an entertaining and fun experience to the byway. See many unique formations and enjoy the scenery.
