Lake Talquin State Forest, FL

Distinguished by its proximity to two Outstanding Florida Waters—the Ochlockonee River and Lake Talquin— pine-hardwood covers over 50% of this 17,491 acre forest. Home to Red-Shouldered Hawk, bobcat, coyote, osprey, white-tailed deer, fox squirrel, and turkey, its natural communities include slope and ravine forest, flatwoods, rolling uplands, swamps, sandhills, and hardwood forest.
