There are more than 15 information centers along the byway generally with hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., restrooms, ADA accessibility, and tourist counseling. The State of New Mexico Visitor Information Center, at the Arizona border/I-40, offers international brochures, and internet. NW New Mexico Visitor Center, I-40 East of Grants. Gallup, Aztec, Bloomfield, Farmington, Grants (located in each town), El Morro National Monument, Chaco Canyon National Park, Salmon Ruins, Aztec Ruins, El Malpais National Monument, Zuni Visitor and Arts Center.
The New Mexico Visitor Information Center on I-40 west of Gallup (start of the byway) has brochures in five languages, and assistance is available from the New Mexico State Tourism Department for translation as needed. The Ice Caves and Aztec Ruin have multi-lingual brochures.
