Driving the Byway

From west of the byway on Interstate 70, take exit #202 at Hendrysburg. Go south on State Route 800 to Barnesville. Take State Route 147 to east (left at light) in Barnesville. Follow 147 to the Ohio River at Bellaire.

From east of the byway, take Highway 7 in Ohio to Bellaire. In Bellaire, find State Road 147 and follow it west until Barnesville. In Barnesville take State Route 800 and go north to the Interstate 70 interchange on the Historic National Road at Hendrysburg.
