  • Blackbeard Island National Wildlife Refuge (GA)

  • Fort King George (GA)

    Georgia's oldest fort was built to defend the southern colonies from French and Spanish invaders.

    Location:

    Fort King George State Historic Site is south of Darien, on US Highway 17, three miles east of 1-95 (exit 10).

  • Sapelo Island Visitor Center (GA)

    The Sapelo Island Visitor Center serves as a major distribution point for information concerning educational opportunities, coastal ecosystems, and various tourism activities.
