  • Brewster Orchards and Lake Pateros (WA)

    Lake Pateros was formed by the Columbia River pooling from Wells Dam to the mouth of the Okanogan River. The hills and sky blended perfectly as you journey north along the water into the heart of the Okanogan.

  • Cariboo Trail - Route 97 (WA)

    The byway follows a portion of the legendary Cariboo Trail. Following the Okanogan River, Native Americans used the trail for centuries before the advent of Hundson Bay Company trappers, gold miners, and cattlemen seeking passage to the north.

  • Okanagon National Forest (WA)

    This forest has a variety of country from craggy peaks to rolling meadows, to rich old growth forest, and classic groves of ponderosa pine. Two wilderness areas provide thousands of pristine acres for recreation.

    The southern portion byway runs through parts of the forest.

  • Okanogan County Historical Museum (WA)

    The Okanogan County Museum incorporates elements important to the Old West -- Native Americans , fur trading, explorers, cattle drives, mining, homesteading, railroad and irrigation development, and the construction of hydroelectric dams.

    Location:

    The banks of the Okanogan River in the City of Okanogan adjacent to Legion Park.

  • Oroville Train Depot Museum (WA)

    The name means literally, "gold town," but it was also once the home of a large tomato cannery. A photo of "The Tomato Queen," Kathleen Prince, Tomato Queen of 1925, is part of an extensive archival collection housed in the museum.

  • Osoyoos State Park (WA)

    Anglers can test their touch against the wily smallmouth bass, rainbow trout and kokanee at the lake at this state park.
