Driving the Byway

From I-5, take exit 216, (90 miles south of Portland, Oregon and 18 miles north of Eugene, Oregon) onto State Highway 228. The route follows Highway 228 to the junction with U.S. Highway 20 (City of Sweet Home) and travels east on Highway 20. The byway ends at the junction with State Highway 126 at the top of Santiam Pass.
