Brandywine Creek State Park (DE)
This 933-acre retreat was once a dairy farm owned by the du Pont family. The park offers some of the Brandywine Valley’s best views, bird watching, nature preserves, and 14 miles of trails through woodlands, meadows, and stream banks.
Distance from byway: 1 mi / 1.6 km Travel time: 2 minutes Directions: At the intersection of Route 92 and 100, take Route 100 north to Adams Dam Road. Turn right on Adams Dam Road. The park main entrance is on the left.

Centreville Village was established by Quakers in the 17th Century. The village is a great place to stroll, bike, dine, and shop. Farmers' Market is held every Thursday in season.
Location: Centreville Village is on Route 52 and Route 1 North of Winterthur and is located near the northwestern "arc" border that divides Delaware from Pennsylvania.

The Delaware Art Museum was founded in 1912. It has numerous works by Brandywine Valley artists, including famous illustrator N.C. Wyeth.
Distance from byway: 1 mi / 1.6 km Travel time: 3 minutes Directions: From Kennett Pike, turn northeast on Mt Salem Ln. Turn right onto W 16th St/Brinckle Ave. Follow Brinckle Ave as it turns into Red Oak Rd. Turn left at Bancroft Estate Rd. The museum will be on your right.

The Delaware History Museum is a great stop for those interested in the history of the du Pont family, Delaware, and the United States.
Distance from byway: 0.25 mi / 0.4 km Travel time: 2 minutes Directions: Starting on 11th Street at the Hotel du Pont, go 6 blocks south on Market Street. The Delaware History Museum is located on the west side of the street.

Delaware Museum of Natural History (DE)
The Delaware Museum of Natural History was created by John du Pont. Museum highlights include an African watering hole, a Great Barrier Reef exhibit, and life-sized dinosaur skeletons.
Location: Located at 4840 Kennett Pike (Route 52). The museum is between Greenville and Centreville and across the street from Winterthur.

Gibraltar Mansion and Gardens (DE)
Hugh Rodney Sharp and Isabella du Pont Sharp purchased Gibraltar in 1909 and built the du Pont mansion. It has a historic garden featuring a pavilion, statuary, and plants.
Location: Gibraltar is located at the corner of Route 52 and Greenhill Avenue. The entrance is on Greenhill Ave.

Goodstay House and Gardens (DE)
The property was the home of Ellen du Pont Wheelwright and her husband Robert, who created a horticultural gem featuring a reflecting pool, magnolia walk, garden rooms, and a woodland garden with a stream.
Location: The Goodstay House and Gardens is directly across the street from Gibraltar on Route 52 on the south side of the street.

Hagley Museum and Library (DE)
Hagley Museum and Library sits on 235 acres along the banks of the Brandywine River. It is the site of the du Pont gunpowder works and the ancestral home and gardens of the du Pont family.

Hotel du Pont and du Pont Theatre (DE)
Built in 1913 on Rodney Square, the Hotel du Pont was conceived by Pierre S. du Pont. It incorporates the du Pont Theatre, which presents Broadway shows and Brandywine artists' paintings.
Location: The Hotel du Pont is at 11th and Market Streets. There is also an entrance on Rodney Square for both the Hotel and the du Pont Theatre.

Inn at Montchanin Village (DE)
The Inn at Montchanin Village was established for laborers who worked at nearby du Pont powder mills. Now, it provides a unique setting of cottage guest rooms, a restaurant, and a conference center.
Location: At the intersection of Route 52 and 100 take 100 north for 1.3 miles. The Inn at Montchanin is on the east side of SR 100.
