Wetlands and Wildlife Scenic Byway
Kansas Wetlands Interpretive/Educational Center, KS

The center tells the story of the Kansas Wetlands complex through a theme of "motion and change." Interpretation covers five key areas: people, wildlife, weather, geology, and wildfire. Explore the difference between Cheyenne Bottoms as a fresh water marsh and Quivira as a salt water marsh and experience a board walk through the mitigation marsh. Also, make sure to take advantage of a short wildlife trail through the adjoining shelter belt area.
