Eden Valley Cemetery, KS

The peaceful Eden Valley Cemetery is home to the graves of several Exodusters, emancipated slaves who came to the area seeking a place to start a new life after the Civil War. Among the Exodusters headstones in this cemetery are those belonging to relatives of Oscar Micheaux, the first African American filmmaker.
