Driving Directions

Driving the Byway

Start at Nanticoke River and MD-313/Sharptown Road.
Drive south on MD-313/Sharptown Road.
Turn east (left) onto Delmar Road and follow the road into Delaware.
Turn southeast (right) onto Blackwater Branch Road.
Turn south (right) on DE-509 and cross into Maryland.
DE-509 changes to Spring Hill Lane.
Turn west (right) on Memory Gardens Lane.
Turn southwest (left) onto MD-347/N Main Street. MD-347/N Main Street changes to MD-347/Quantico Road.

Follow MD-347 until you reach the intersection with MD-349/Nanticoke Rd. You have the option to turn right or left.
To follow the byway offshoot to Nanticoke, turn west (right) on MD-349/Nanticoke Rd. Follow MD-349 until you reach the very end of the road in Nanticoke.

To continue on main route of the byway instead of traveling to Nanticoke, turn east (left) at the intersection of MD-349/Nanticoke Road.
Turn south (right) onto MD-352/Whitehaven Road.
Stay on Whitehaven Road going south until you reach the Wicomico River.
Take the Ferry across the Wicomico River.
Drive east on Whitehaven Ferry Road.
Turn south (right) onto Fitzbound Road.
Merge with MD-362/Mount Vernon Road.
Turn south (right) onto Somerset Avenue.

Instead of continuing on Somerset Avenue to Pocomoke City, you have the option to take a byway spur west to the city of Wenona.
To head to Wenona, turn west (right) on MD-363/Prince William Street.
Turn north (right) on MD-363/Beckford Avenue.
Turn west (left) on MD-363/Manokin Avenue.
MD-363/Manokin Avenue changes to MD-363/Deal Island Road.
Follow MD-363/Deal Island Road until you reach Wenona.

To continue on the byway to Pocomoke City instead of following the spur to Wenona, stay on Somerset Avenue, heading south.
Merge with U.S. Highway 13/Ocean Highway/MD-920 going south.
Turn south (merge right) onto MD-413/Crisfield Highway.
Turn west (left) on MD-667/Hudson Corner Road.
Turn east (right) onto MD-667/Rehobeth Road.
Turn southeast (right) onto U.S. Highway 13/Ocean Highway.
Turn south (west) on Dividing Creek Road.
Turn east on Market Street Extension.
Market Street Extension Changes to Market Street, follow it into Pocomoke City.

Instead of traveling to Pocomoke, you can choose to follow the byway spur to the city of Ewell.
Stay on MD-413/Crisfield Highway instead of turning right onto MD-667/Hudson Corner Road.
Continue on MD-413/Crisfield until you reach the end of the highway in Crisfield.
From Crisfield, take the ferry through Tangier Sound to Ewell.

Heading southeast on Market Street, turn north (left) on Pocomoke Beltway.
Pocomoke Beltway merges with U.S. Highway 113/Worcester Highway.
Take U.S. Highway 113/Worcester Highway going north.
Turn northeast (left) onto U.S. Highway 113/MD-394/Market Street, and follow the road into Snow Hill.

Instead of continuing on U.S. Highway 113/MD-394, you have the option to head southeast on a byway spur to Public Landing.
To get to Public Landing, turn east (right) off of U.S. 113 onto MD-365/N Bay Street.
MD-365/N Bay Street changes to MD-365/Public Landing Road.
Take MD-365/Public Landing Road to the end of the highway in Public Landing.

To continue on the main loop of the byway from Snow Hill, continue northeast on U.S. Highway 113/394/E Market Street.
Merge with U.S. Highway 113/Worcester Highway and head north toward Berlin.

Instead of continuing on the main loop of the byway, you have the option to follow a spur of the byway to Assateague Island National Seashore.
From U.S. Highway 113 in Berlin, turn east (right) on MD-376/Assateague Road.
Turn south (right) onto MD-611/Stephen Decatur Highway.
Continue on MD-611/Stephen Decatur Highway/Verrazano Bridge southeast to Assateague Island National Seashore.

Traveling north from Berlin on U.S. Highway 113, turn east onto MD-346/Old Ocean City Boulevard.
Merge onto U.S. Highway 50/Ocean Gateway and drive east on the highway until it ends in Ocean City.

From U.S. Highway 113/Worcester Highway, turn west (left) onto MD-346/Old Ocean City Boulevard/Salisbury Boulevard.
Stay on MD-346/Old Ocean City Boulevard.
MD-346/Old Ocean City Boulevard changes to MD-346/Old Ocean City Road.
MD-346/Old Ocean City Road changes to MD-346/E Church Street.
Turn northwest (right) onto E Isabella Street, which turns into Nanticoke Road.
Drive across to MD-349/Nanticoke Road.

Instead of following the byway on MD-349/Nanticoke Road, you can take a brief side-trip, which is also part of the byway.
From Nanticoke Road, turn southwest (left) onto Pemberton Drive.
Turn north (right)on Crooked Oak Lane, which will take you right back up to Nanticoke Road.

To complete the byway route, drive west on MD-349/Nanticoke Road.
MD-349/Nanticoke Road changes to MD-349/Quantico Road back to the rest of the byway routes.
