All visitors’ centers are accessible, as are many of the attractions. Many of these sites have received Federal and/or State funds for restoration, thus activating the requirements for accessibility. Nearly all of the museums accommodate persons with physical disabilities. In addition, most restaurants and many specialty shops offer ramps to allow wheelchair access. Many performances are made accessible to the deaf. The FOREST interpretive kiosks on the byway give information on accessibility.
