Belle Boyd Cottage, VA

The Belle Boyd Cottage, one of the oldest buildings in Front Royal, operated as a hotel during the Civil War era. Managed by Boyd's aunt and uncle, the cottage was also home to the infamous Confederate spy for a short period during the war. Today, visitors can tour the period-decorated Cottage to learn about Boyd's life and her role in the Civil War as told by costumed interpreters.
