Timberline Lodge and Ski Area, OR
Built in the 1930s during the Great Depression as a WPA and CCC project employing an amazing cadre of carpenters and artisans, Timberline Lodge is now a National Historic Landmark. The grand lodge features Cascadian architecture built from timber and stone hewn from the mountain. Fine craftsmanship is in every detail from handcrafted furniture, carved beams, custom-woven textiles, to unique ironwork. Timberline Ski Area offers the only year-round skiing in North America.
