Bicycle/Pedestrian Facilities

Most sections of the byway route have sufficient shoulder width to accommodate bicycles. Bicycle travel is limited within the refuge, but a designated road behind Mt. Scott accommodates off-road bicycles.

Pedestrian travel is accommodated using sidewalks and other independent pedestrian paths in byway communities, and with numerous hiking and recreational trails within the refuge.
