• Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area (CO)

  This recreation area covers 5,000 acres, and the Arkansas River crosses 148 miles, going from Leadville to Pueblo. It is popular for kayaking, whitewater rafting, fishing, boating, hiking, picnicking, and camping.

  Location:	Located in Salida.

• Collegiate Peaks Wilderness Area (CO)

  Collegiate Peaks Wilderness Area covers over 166,000 acres in White River, San Isabel, and Gunnison National Forests. It has eight peaks that reach at least 14,000 feet, making it the wilderness with the highest elevation in the United States.

  Location:	Located in central Colorado in the White River, San Isabel, and Gunnison National Forests.

• Pike & San Isabel National Forest (CO)

  Visit ghost towns or backpack for miles on the Colorado or Continental Divide Trails. The opportunities at the Pike & San Isabel National Forests are endless.

  Location:	Located in south-central Colorado, south of Denver and west of Colorado Springs
