Special Considerations

While this is a Type I road and thus paved, this road is nevertheless narrow with serious switchbacks as it approaches Sitgreaves Pass. Parts of the road go through remote desert territory. Be prepared for mountain and desert driving conditions.

This Type I byway is paved and can be driven by most passenger cars and other vehicles.
