Great Salt Lake Legacy Parkway

As an urban parkway in a major metropolitan area, all services are available within a few miles of the route.

Special Considerations
There are no special accommodations for international, non-English speaking visitors on the byway. Visitors who contact state and local visitor bureaus in advance of their trip may obtain general information in other languages.
Restrictions
Large trucks (over 5 axles or over 80,000 lbs gross vehicle weight) are prohibited from the road except in the case of emergency vehicles responding to an accident, military vehicles or in the case of a major detour from I-15 due to an accident or road reconstruction. RVs are permitted.
Seasons
- Best Time to Drive
Visit in spring and fall to witness bird migration and enjoy mild weather or come for a specific migration, such as Bald Eagle roosting in mid-winter.
- High Season
The parkway supports Salt Lake City metropolitan commuter traffic making the road busier at rush hour, but heavy traffic and delays are uncommon.
