Driving the Byway

This byway consists of a network of roads in Volusia, Flagler and St. Johns Counties. These roads are listed below, and are not necessarily the route a traveler would follow to drive the byway.

Old King's Road and County Road 2001 North

  • From the south, start at the intersection of CR 2002 (S. Old Dixie Hwy) and CR 2001 in Bulow Creek State Park.
  • Go north on CR 2001 to the intersection with FL-100.
  • Cross SR 100 into Palm Coast, and continue northward as the route becomes Old King's Road.
  • In Palm Coast Old Kings Road jogs sharply east until it resumes heading northward towards US 1.
  • Continue on Old Kings Road until it ends at US 1.

County Road 204 and Old Brick Road South to Espanola

  • At the junction of US 1 and CR 204 in St. Johns County (one of the byway's northern entrance points), go west.
  • At the junction of CR 204 and Old Brick Road (the other northern entrance point to the byway), turn south.
  • Travel southward to Espanola to the intersection of CR 13 and CR 205 in Espanola.

Loop Between Espanola and Bunnell

  • At the intersection of CR 13 and CR 205 in Espanola, continue on CR 13 south.
  • Proceed on CR 13 to Bunnell and the intersection with US 1.
  • Take US 1 south to the intersection with FL 100.
  • Turn west on FL 100.
  • At the intersection with CR 205 turn north and return to the junction of CR 13 and CR 205 in Espanola, completing a loop between Espanola and Bunnell.

US Highway 1 South

  • Just west of I-95, at the junction of US 1 and CR 204 in St. Johns County (one of the byway's northern entrance points), go south on US 1.
  • Stay on US 1 through Bunnell.
  • Proceed south on US 1 to Korona.
  • Go southeast on South Old Dixie Highway (CR 2002.)
  • Cross I-95 into Volusia County at Walter Boardman Lane (CR 4011.)
  • The junction of CR 2002 and CR 4011 in Bulow Creek State Park is one of the byway's southern entry points.

Walter Boardman Lane North, Flagler Beach and Bunnell

  • Proceed northward from Walter Boardman Lane and CR 201 (another of the byway's southern entry points) into Flagler County on John Anderson Highway (CR 201) to FL 100.
  • Turn east and continue to Flagler Beach and the byway's eastern entry point.
  • Backtrack westward on FL 100.
  • Cross I-95.
  • Continue westward on FL 100.
  • In Bunnell, go south on FL 11.
  • Continue southward on FL 11 through Codys Corner to the Flagler/Volusia County line.
