Special Considerations
The Ormond Scenic Loop & Trail could have closures or restrictions during hurricane season, between June 1 and November 30.
Restrictions
All travel lanes within the Ormond Scenic Loop & Trail vary from eight feet wide to twelve feet wide, with a few sharp curves along the road. Drivers of large (above average) trucks, recreational vehicles, and tour buses should take special precautions when traveling and maneuvering throughout the corridor.
Seasons
- Best Time to Drive
Spring is the best time, for that is when the native foliage peaks, the skies are clear and blue, daily highs average around 80 degrees, and the Atlantic Ocean is refreshing and azure.

A visitor is likely to encounter increased traffic due to regional special events scheduled in February and October.
