Bean Station, TN

Bean Station is both a current village and a nearby historic site. Bean Station was the most prominent trading station on the Wilderness Road. When the waters of Cherokee Lake are low in the fall and winter, the original path of the Wilderness Road is very evident. An interpretive facility is planned on the island overlooking the site of the station. A Civil War reenactment occurs at the site each year.
