Driving the Byway

The byway begins at the junction of US 280, 64, and 276.

• Take US 276 northwest.
• Continue on US 276 for 17.6 miles through the Pisgah National Forest.
• The route goes under the Blue Ridge Parkway.
• The byway ends at the parking lot of the Big East Fork Trailhead for the Shining Rock Wilderness Area.
