Follow the Presidential Trail in West Virginia
Planning a visit to the US in January as President-elect Barrack Obama prepares to take office on January 20? Why not extend your visit beyond Washington D.C., with a scenic drive through one of West Virginia’s national scenic byways inspired by another revolutionary president – George Washington.
Garden and Gun Magazine Features West Virgina's Highland Scenic Highway
Sara Busse, a writer for the Charleston Gazetter, reports that a recent issue of _Garden and Gun_ magazine has an article about winter recreation on West Virgina's Highland Scenic Highway. The article, entitled "The Snow Road", describes how this 43-mile road leads to more than 150 miles of trails for snowshoeing, backcountry or cross-country skiing and winter camping. Snowmobiling is not permitted off the highway, however.
The Other Oregon

Two articles featuring Berkeley Springs recently appeared in the New York Times as well, bringing more tourists from east coast cities such as New York and Philadelphia to the historic town.
