October 16, 2009 - U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood Announces America’s Byways ® Designations for 2009

U. S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood today announced 42 new designations to the America’s Byways® collection, including five All-American Roads and 37 National Scenic Byways in 26 states. This increases the number of America’s Byways® to 151.

October 9, 2009 - Federal Highway Administration Awards Nearly $41 Million for Scenic Byways

Communities in 43 states will receive $40.7 million for 160 projects to improve and promote highways designated as scenic byways, Federal Highway Administrator Victor Mendez announced today.

The U.S. Patent and Trade Office notified FHWA that the America’s Byways logo is a registered service mark, effective on December 20, 2005.
