December 22, 2008 - View Firing of the Christmas Guns along Colonial Parkway

Come to Historic Williamsburg on the Colonial Parkway in Virginia this Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at 5:00 pm to observe the firing of the Christmas guns.

In the 18th Century, it was a custom for Virginians to fire their guns in salute to the Christmas season. This tradition will be continued so visitors may discover the delight and wonder of those celebrations held so many Christmases ago. Commemorate the season and observe this expression of joy and celebration.
