January 6, 2008 - Snowmobile Ride-In Upcoming on Sheyenne River Valley Scenic Byway

RANSOM - On January 12, 2008, Ransom, ND will host the 5th annual Ransom Retro Ride-In, an event dedicated to vintage snowmobiles and vintage snowmobile enthusiasts. The event is sponsored by the Ransom County Driftskippers snowmobiling club.

The Ride-In features a vintage snowmobile show, a trail ride, chili, a bonfire, door prizes, and awards. For a $5 registration fee, riders can enter their sleds into the show and join in for the trail ride. Awards given at last year’s Ride-In included “rat sled,” oldest rider, youngest rider, bartender’s choice, and people’s choice awards.

On the day of the Ride-In, registration is from 9:30 to 11:00 am, and sleds line up for the parade out of town at 11:45.
