January 17, 2009 - Glenn Highway Hosts a Day of Winter Fun

Glenn Highway is hosting a winter fun day on Reflections Lake on Saturday from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. Event organizers have arranged cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ice skating on the lake. Warming fires, hot cocoa, coffee and refreshments will be available. Outdoor goods retailer REI is providing skis and snowshoes for use that day and the Mat-Su Borough Parks and Recreation department is providing ice skates. Skiing, snowshoeing and skating instruction will be available. To reach Reflections Lake, head south on the Glenn Highway and take Knik River Access Exit at Mile 30.6.
