January 16, 2009 - Mardi Gras Royalty to Roll in on the Creole Nature Trail

Mardi Gras of Southwest Louisiana is inviting all former Mardi Gras royalty and area festival queens to participate in the Royalty Parade on Feb. 24, 2009 in Lake Charles, LA along the Creole Nature Trail.

The Royalty Parade will commence after the Red Hat Parade on Mardi Gras day, and will run from the Civic Center, down Broad Street, to Ryan Street, and down to Sale Road.

Floats may be entered into the parade as well as Mardi Gras-decorated cars and trucks.

Potential parade entrants can download entry forms at http://www.swlamardigras.com. The parade entry fee is $25, and the deadline to enter is Tuesday, Feb. 17.
