October 29, 2009 - ArtsFest Goes Global near the Creole Nature Trail

In celebration of their 30th year, the Arts and Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana will host “ArtsFest Goes Global!” on Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Lake Charles Civic Center, near the Creole Nature Trail. The event will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and will include costume contests, caricature drawings, pottery making, balloons, stage demonstrations, food and a parade.

Ten nations have been selected for the celebration. Facts about each country, the country’s flag, language and traditions will be presented to guests. Children can participate in two art projects from each of the ten countries free of charge.
