October 30, 2009 - 9th Annual Sultana Downrigging Weekend on the Chesapeake Country Scenic Byway

Celebrate the maritime heritage of the schooner Sultana this weekend at the 9th Annual Sultana Downrigging Weekend in Chestertown, Md., near the Chesapeake Country Scenic Byway. Ships from across the mid-Atlantic will flood the harbor. See “tall ships,” historic boats, or traditional sailing vessels. You can board, or even sail on some of these boats. The downrigging event will run Oct. 28 through Nov. 1.
