October 30, 2009 - Haunted Halloween on the Great River Road

The Great River Road is hosting many activities this Halloween holiday weekend. Alton, Ill., the “Most Haunted Small Town in America,” is holding a Halloween parade, which begins at Washington Avenue and Broadway. Ghosts and goblins will be out to give you a fright at this parade, which begins at 7 p.m. on Halloween night. Join the fun at Alton’s Mineral Springs Mall and tour the Underground Railroad tunnels, where ghosts wait to haunt you. Attend a seance, tarot-card readings, and more! Reservations are required for these fun events starting Halloween night.
