November 16, 2009 - Charlottesville Tradition near the Blue Ridge Parkway

To jump start your holiday season, visit Charlottesville, Virginia, 25 miles east of Blue Ridge Parkway during the Charlottesville Tradition festival. The festival begins Friday, Nov. 20, with the Grand Illumination of the Tree and Mall Lights, and continues Sat., Nov. 21, with the Holiday Heritage Parade and a Thanksgiving Show. Bring the kids! They can meet Santa and you can all take a carriage ride. Finish out the festival singing carols to get in the holiday spirit. Most events are free to the public.
