The climb to the top via the Beartooth Highway is not for the faint of heart; the hairpins are indeed hairy. It was, however, worth every second of the fear I experienced on the way up for the spectacular vistas at the top. Sadly, even at the beginning of June, there was still enough snow and the lakes were still frozen that we didn't really get a good look at them. This is a byway that is not to be missed!
