A Traveler's Experience

In the summer of 2005, we returned to the Payette River area, this time to stay at the lovely Ashley Inn in Cascade. It was a real surprise to have something this nice in the Idaho mountains. We boarded the Thunder Mountain Train right at the hotel. It took us on a 2-hour ride through the Payette River Canyon where we saw a bald eagle really close-up. We saw marvelous views that you can't see from the highway. It was definitely worth the trip for the entire family.
