A Traveler's Experience

What a gorgeous experience!! My partner and I traveled from Georgia to the Flight 93 Memorial in Pennsylvania via motorcycles. During the trip we visited a friend who took us on a guided tour of the Catoctin Mts. After being chased into MD by hurricane Ernesto and riding in the rain for two miserable cold, wet days, the clear skys and breathtaking views were a pleasant change. The Catoctin Byway gives a whole new meaning to being one with nature. During our trek we encountered a variety of local wildlife. One possum in particular got so close that a member of our party actually ran over the poor thing's tail. After our amazing trek through this beautiful part of Maryland, we continued our journey through the Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway. Byways.org made the trip much more enjoyable. The resources encountered on the website were great and much appreciated. All in all we made a 2000-mile round trip on our motorcycles in a week thanks to the resources provided on this website.
