The fall foliage in Logan Canyon this year is simply splendid. I hiked the Crimson Trail for the first time Sunday. The day was sunny with just a little chill to keep you comfortable on the switchbacks. The mountainsides were covered with fiery red and orange maple trees, and the aspens were just starting to turn yellow in the high country. The views were wonderful -- although if you are afraid of heights, you probably wouldn't like them. The trail goes right on the edge of some really appalling cliffs, but wow. What views!
