A Traveler's Experience

I traveled the Blue Ridge Parkway from the southern entrance at Smoky Mountains National Park to Mt. Mitchell State Park northeast of Asheville and the mountain scenery was outstanding, the best I have ever seen. There are numerous tunnels along this route which add to the enjoyment. I stopped at the Craggy Gardens Visitor Center and purchased some BRP book and clothing items along with hiking up to nearby Craggy Dome for a spectacular 360 degree view. I highly recommend this drive to anyone who wants to get away from it all and experience some of the best views in the country.
