A Traveler's Experience
fcrvind on November 14, 2008 (traveled on April 3, 2008)Natchez Trace Parkway (AL, MS, TN)
We have traveled 49 states by RV in the 36 years we've been married, and for the first time this spring drove the Natchez Parkway. It was a true pleasure to drive the parkway at a leisurely pace and enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Although we didn't camp on the parkway, we did stop at many of the historic attractions along the way. One of our favorite stops was at French Camp for lunch at a small eatery with a lot of amenities from days gone by. We look forward to traveling the parkway again and will definitely stop at French Camp again.
What Others Have Said
ssmith on May 1, 2011 (traveled on April 23, 2011)We left Stan's Rock 'N' Roll Bike Shop at 1:00 from Natchez, MS. Rode out the Natchez Trace Parkway for 25 miles and back. Pedaling for a Cure fund raiser. Part of Team Moosestrong efforts to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. Great ride, beautiful scenery and fantastic company.
ntwalker on March 6, 2011 (traveled on February 13, 2011)I decided to challenge myself by walking the entire Nachez Trace Parkway from Nashville, TN to Natchez, MS.
I am currently at mile post 348 (8 miles to the AL stateline). My husband crews for me. I am enjoying every step I take. I am 71 years old.
Maria on June 10, 2009 (traveled on August 1, 2004)This is one of the coolest byways I have been on. It's not only beautiful but there is so much interesting history there. We traveled the entire length on a motorcycle (actually started from Delaware). When we stopped at different areas, you could actually walk down or see the original paths that were walked.
